Who we are

What we collect
- Calls: your phone number, a recording of the call, and a transcript of it, made automatically, including your name if you give it, the problem, its urgency and your postcode or address.
- Texts: if you or a plumber texts us, the message content and number.
- Callback form: the name, phone number, postcode and problem you enter, used only to arrange your callback and passed to a local plumber in the same way as a phone enquiry. We keep a technical, one-way scrambled version of your IP address for up to an hour to stop abuse. The form sets no cookies.
- Website: this site uses no cookies or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To pass your job to a plumber who can help you, at your request (steps taken before entering into a contract, and legitimate interests).
- To keep recordings for quality, training, resolving disputes and preventing misuse (legitimate interests).
- To keep business and accounting records (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
Your job details (problem, urgency, area/postcode) are sent to independent local plumbers who cover your area. Your phone number is passed to the plumber who accepts the job so they can call you back. That plumber becomes a separate controller of your information. We also use service providers to run the phone line, texts, speech recognition and hosting (for example Twilio, Deepgram and Cloudflare); some of them process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Call recordings and transcripts: up to 30 days unless needed for a complaint or dispute. Job records: up to 6 years for accounting purposes.
Cookies and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that sets no cookies and collects no personal data, to count visits and see which pages are used.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for data portability. To ask, call 07861 925301. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
